Three things to know about the new Cadillac CT4
February 05 2021, Chalut Auto Cadillac
The new Cadillac CT4 is one of Cadillac's most popular models, and it hasn’t been on the market very long. Replacing the Cadillac ATS, the Cadillac CT4 is the most accessible car in the Cadillac family without neglecting the comfort and refinement that is expected of a Cadillac luxury sedan. Here are three things to know about the new Cadillac CT4.
It Packs A Lot of Value
Starting at less than $36,000, the Cadillac CT4 is not just luxurious, it’s also packed with value. The CT4 is one of the most accessible vehicles in its segment, but it is also packed with features. You can enjoy an entire lot of advanced Cadillac safety features and autonomous driving technology including SuperCruise. The CT4 comes in multiple versions as well, ensuring that everyone finds the CT4 version that will fit their needs.
It is powered by a Turbo Engine and a 10-Speed Gearbox
The standard engine in the new Cadillac CT4 will be a 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder that develops 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, exclusivity in the luxury compact sedan segment. The base CT4 is rear-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is also offered. There’s also a more powerful 2.7-litre turbo that sends 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque to either the rear wheels or all four wheels.
V-Series is Back
The Cadillac CT4-V is also available with a very powerful four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 325 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. This is enough to reach 100 km/h in less than 5.0 seconds and unlike the older generation of the Cadillac ATS, the CT4-V is available with all-wheel drive.
That said, the flagship of the CT4 lineup is the new CT4-V Blackwing, unveiled in early 2021. The Blackwing offers a rowdy 3.6-litre twin-turbo that delivers 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. 0-100 km/h? Around 4.0 seconds. Oh, and there’s a six-speed manual offered. Enough said.
